Job Summary/Objective

The Director of Finance at Gentilhomme is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative aspects of our multimedia entertainment studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, be able to manage a variety of financial tasks, and provide strategic financial guidance to the management team.

The Role

As the Director of Finance, you'll step into a pivotal leadership role, overseeing all financial facets of our thriving studio. Imagine being the financial maestro orchestrating our success story. We're on the lookout for a candidate who not only possesses a strong foundation in finance and accounting but is also adept at managing a diverse range of financial responsibilities. Your strategic prowess will play a vital role in guiding our management team toward even greater heights.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise accounting tasks, including accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, and general ledger management.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, keeping management informed of the studio's financial performance.

  • Identify and secure tax credits and subsidies applicable to the entertainment industry.

  • Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting.

  • Track project profitability and provide insights to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the management team to influence strategic and business decisions through financial analysis and recommendations.

  • Manage administrative and operational aspects, including insurance policies, international business complexities, and risk management.

  • Collaborate closely with legal counsel and fiscal advisors


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to drive financial strategy and influence decision-making.

  • Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CFA certification.

  • Experience with entertainment industry tax credits and subsidies.

  • Familiarity with multimedia production processes and financial considerations.

  • Reporting Structure: The Director of Finance will report to the President and will work closely with other members of the executive team.
